If you have one of the following it is NOT recommended that you have a treatment; contagious conditions, such as colds, covid and flu.
A strained muscle or sprained ligament, recent operation, or are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol ( this includes any pain prescriptive medication)
Neuritis (inflammation of nerves), fever, infectious disease or skin diseases/infections, lice, fever.
If you have a cold, flu or Covid, please do not book an appointment until you are fully recovered.
Should you have the following symptoms a massage can be performed while avoiding affected areas; Varicose veins, pregnancy, abrasions, bruising, sunburn, cold sore, verruca or wart, eczema.
If you are under the care of a Doctor/Hospital and are currently receiving medical help, you will need your Doctors written permission prior to having treatment, and if you have any of the following; epilepsy, psoriasis, aneurysm, auto immune deficiency, blood vessel diseases, cancer, diabetes, oedema, Osteoporosis, Spondylosis, kidney, liver or heart condition, high or low blood pressure, serious recent injuries or head trauma.
This is not an exhaustive list and if unsure, advice should be sought prior to treatment.
Wear comfortable clothing. Please note: you may still have oil residue on your skin if you have just received a massage.
We would recommend not wearing your jewellery during treatment as it could hinder the flow of the therapy.
During certain treatments, there will be movements that includes facial massage and pressure points, these may affect your make-up. If you would prefer not to have your face touched, please let me know and we can adjust the treatment to suit your requirements.
Yes, for some of the treatments, especially Indian Head Massage, your hair will be ruffled during the treatment.
Please, if you feel uncomfortable at any time, please say and your therapy can be adjusted accordingly so that you feel at ease.
Yes, you will be covered during your treatment and only the area being worked on will be exposed. Leaving you to feel comfortable and relaxed.
Whether you have received Reiki, Bi-Aura or a form of massage, I would recommend you drink plenty of water and try to rest as much as possible while your body expels any toxins released during your treatment.
Some people feel a warming sensation, others a tingling sensation and some nothing at all during the treatment. How you feel is down to your experience. Mostly everyone finds it very relaxing, and soothing.
No, while holistic therapy is a wonderful alternative way to treat the body, it cannot replace the medical expertise a Doctor can provide. By law no therapist, unless trained to do so, can offer a diagnosis to any condition you may have. It is always best to seek medical advice first, prior to treatment.

If you need to cancel, please ensure you give at least 24hours notice. Any less time could incur a charge.
Please remember any aftercare you have been given, especially if you have had an Aromatherapy massage - certain oils are photo-sensitive and should not be exposed to the sun. Your therapist will have made you aware at the time of your massage and informed you to stay out of the sun to avoid any adverse reaction.
Effleurage - is a soothing series of strokes using the whole hand that can be firm or gentle. They can be long or short and are generally used to link one movement of massage to another.
Friction - made with the flat of the hand or fingers. Perfect for increasing circulation to areas of the body that are lacking .
Percussion - percussion movements consist of Hacking, pummeling and cupping - they help to disperse tension, relax muscles, increase blood flow and break up fatty deposits. Petrissage - a gentle kneading movement using the thumbs that helps to relax muscles, increase circulation, aid with lymphatic flow and the release of toxins.
Kneading - resembling the kneading of dough, this action is good for releasing toxins, tension, tightness in muscles and delivering fresh oxygenated blood to massaged areas.
